“Computer Girl” Zaki Ibrahim
From the first time I heard Zaki Ibrahim’s new album, I knew she was special. Born in Canada and raised in South Africa during Apartheid, this singer- songwriter combines sensitivity and sophistication in all aspects of her work. There is not only depth to her poetic lyrics, but also a sense of reflection and humor. Her vast global influences help keep her from strict classification while her sweet and silky vocals create soothing melodies that stick to your soul.
