Events We Love :: Rebirth of the Speakeasy

On Saturday March 6th we are hosting an event that gathers a fun group of people in a private location for the Launch of the Rebirth of the Speakeasy: “The Underground.” There is a place in this city where entertainment is open, intellectual minds gather, artist and carefree people unite and party wild in abandonment (not in a club setting). Lovely Moni will be the DJ for this occasion. Multimedia artist Moni Pineda has been DJing since 1991, has released CDs in the US and Japan and toured in Europe, Asia and the Americas. As co-founder of the web tav station, Friends We Love, she produces short documentaries on artists and inspiration. Moni rocks a party with seamless mixes of timeless soul, percussive anthems and future classics. Moni has been named one of “New York City’s 15 Hottest DJ’s” and been featured on the cover of the Village Voice, in Trace, Suede, NY Post & Time Out NY and selected as the resident DJ for Gilles Peterson’s label Brownswood Recordings in NYC.
Also, for your consumption an eclectic array of libations will be available.  This is one of those secret places where once you find it you’re intrigued and want to come back for more.  This is your chance to see it first hand.   Now, because of the delicate nature of this event, invites are extremely limited.  Everything here is on the hush hush and Q.T.!   Also a suggested donation is requested once you find it and are able to come in.   Interested?  Then hurry and rsvp here: info@mv2nyc.com
