One of the many aspects I love about my job is meeting new artists and being introduced to their work and creative process. Although I’ve seen the Barnstormers videos for a few years, it was only recently that I met Yuri Shimojo and her beautiful artwork. There is a playfulness and sensuality in her watercolors that are at times surreal and whimsical. Please take some time to explore her site & her work, especially the “stories” section which are illustrated journal entries. Her sense of humor is sweet and her composition draws quite from her Japanese upbringing. I hope you enjoy her work as much as I did.
