Exhibits We Love :: Nina Pandolfo @ Carmichael Gallery LA
The lovely curators at the Carmichael Gallery are celebrating their new space in Culver City with “Life’s Flavor,” a great solo show by Brazilian artist Nina Pandolfo. I heard of Nina from Mike Vargas who had the chance to interview Os Gemeos in Brazil a few years ago and met her during filming. Needless to say her style is detailed and beautifully whimsical while the stories her work inspire are purely magical. If you live in LA or will be there in the next month, try to catch this show. It us open to the public between March 21 – April 18th.

One of our favorite artists, Doze Green, is having a solo show at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery, our partners for the FWL “Off the Wall” series. The largest piece of the exhibit entitled Siddhartha revisits themes of spiritual quests in vibrant mythical realities where the struggle between good & evil is beautifully illustrated. art we love :: general particular collective art exhibit
Asen James and Rich Williams, who make up the collective General Particular, have organized the second in a series of art shows in Dumbo. The Collective Art exhibit is a “non-curated show by design,” says Asen. ” A friend of mine once said to me ‘going to art school made me an art snob.’ So anyone with the passion to produce a body of work was allowed entry into the show on a first come first serve basis. I think passion and dedication are two of the defining characteristics of an artist. We have some artists who have begun to develop names for themselves, some artists are just displaying, others are selling their work and get 100% of the proceeds. The main motivation for this and future events by General Particular is to bring people together from all different walks of life in a fun way.” We couldn’t agree more!
