Music We Love :: Trackademicks, State of the Arts
Listening to a Trackademicks beat is an experience. The slap of the drums hit your ears, while the sweet synth melodies remind you of some new wave/80s style keys that you can’t quite put your finger on to identify. The rhythm can either slow the mood to just perfect when coupled with chillin, or the tempo can knock you out of your seat onto the dancefloor. Add Track’s rhymes and you’ve got the makings of an all night affair on the dancefloor.
Shows We Love :: Fela! Live Broadcast Jan 13
If you haven’t seen the Fela! show yet, this is your chance! On Thursday, January 13th, the National Theatre Live will broadcast a live performance of the award-winning production from the National’s Olivier Theatre. In New York there’s a few theatrical screenings but in LA, Mann’s Chinese Theatre is your spot. Read below for more cities and information.

Exhibits We Love :: The Taxali 300 – Toronto
If you’re in Toronto in the next couple of weeks, make sure you visit Gary Taxali’s solo show The Taxali 300 at Narwhal Arts Project. Gary will showcase all of the playful illustrations and collages he’s created as a commercial illustrator, which have never been amassed in one exhibit. We were lucky to have captured Gary for one of our Off the Wall episodes as well as a 120 Seconds. Hope that all my T.O. folks get to enjoy this for me.
