Exhibits We Love :: Olek, Closing Party
Mike & I had the pleasure of filming a studio visit with crochet uberartist, Olek yesterday and it was beyond fun. Her solo show at Christopher Henry Gallery will be closing with a bang this Friday night – black lights & all. After seeing Olek’s yarn boudoir, hearing her infectious laugh & jokes for days, we will definitely be there. If you can’t make it, her show has been selected to be part of a traveling museum show set to open at the Smithsonian in 2012. The Jonathan LeVine Gallery is presenting two wonderful artists this month whom FWL has had the pleasure of filming for our Off the Wall collaborative series with Babelgum, Tara McPherson & Xiaoqing Ding. Both artists draw inspiration from a myriad of world mythologies, legends and folklore enriching each painting with a vibrant narrative for the viewer to explore.
