Our friends at Giant Step bring you the last live performance of Blackmagic by Jose James this Friday, December 3rd along with TK Wonder, Ben Perowsky MSO and Ge-ology at LIttlefield in Brooklyn. After a year of spinning the Brownswood Sessions with this crew, one thing is certain – this is an evening you don’t want to miss. Music We Love :: Baby Brother
I’ve always been a huge fan of supporting local bands, in hopes that I could one day say “I saw those guys when they played in some kid’s basement!” But recently, New York City’s local rock n’ roll scene has been getting pretty dull. A few days ago, my good friend introduced me to the Brooklyn-based rock n’ roll band, Baby Brother. Originating from all over the country, the band mixes good old fashioned rock n’roll and mixes it up with country, rhythm & blues, and a little bit of punk rock.

The MANIFESTO crew is hitting the road to take in a weekend in Brooklyn NY. Festivities will include the debut MANIFESTO Brooklyn Meets Toronto concert showcase, the 2010 Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival and the OkayAfrica Celebrate Brooklyn concert at Prospect Park. Exhibits We Love :: A Love Craft
If you’re a fan of horror films, and are in the area of NYC any time this month, be sure to check out A Love Craft at The Observatory in Brooklyn. The show features over twenty artists “inspired by Monsters, Madness, and Mythos,” including one of my favorite photographers, Joshua Hoffine.
