Racquel Honore’s jewelry line, Ankh, has just launched a new collection called ID vs EGO and along with some beautiful photos, she collaborated with filmmaker Maria Tornberg to create a short film featuring some of the star pieces. We’re loving the stacked chains in different tones, the pops of color, geometric shapes and the easy wearability of the collection
Artists We Love :: Lizzi Akana
I stumbled upon animator, Lizzi Akana on the Animation Block Party website, and she immediately captured my attention. Her short film, Marvelous, Keen Loony Bin is one of the craziest animated shorts I’ve seen in a while. She directed and animated it as her thesis film while attending RISD. The film is filled with insanely imaginative creatures and objects that epitomize the reason I love animation. Lizzi Akana is an up-and-coming animator, but she’s definitely someone I’d keep my eye on.

With space and real estate tough to come by in these big metropolises we choose to inhabit, Gary Chang has turned his 330 square foot apartment in Hong Kong into a 24 room modular space. This video illustrates his incredible architecture & design skills along with smart green details. A great source of inspiration when you’re feeling a bit claustrophobic. – Moni Pineda
Designers We Love :: Arthur Bodolec
When I saw Arthur Bodolec’s short demo film on Jack, the chair that comes to life when you use it, I had to do a bit of research. Sure enough, his other designs, like the staircase which extends into a warm space to chill, are just as pleasing. He is a young, French designer who “would like to re-invent things in a functional and a creative way.” Take a look at the video for Jack! below and remember that “life can take another shape.” – Moni Pineda

If you weren’t one of the 700,00 people who ran out this weekend to throw down 500 clams for a new iPad, don’t worry you’re not alone. Many, including us, have decided to pass on the first cycle of this game changing phenomenon and wait for the 2.0 version. In the meantime, software apps have been popping up faster than a boner on chatroullete – One of the coolest iPad sites we’ve seen thus far, which speaks to us, as it should for all those creating web content is the iPad Peek.
