This year The Bicycle Film Festival celebrates their 10th Anniversary by joining forces with Anonymous Gallery for their Joyride Art Show. The event goes down today at the Dash Gallery with a long list of great artists exhibiting all kinds of bicycle-inspired works. Make sure to get tickets for the festival going down this weekend. Our Friends We Love short with Ellis G was part of this international BFF last year which screened in 39 cities worldwide! We had a great time so if you’ve never been, don’t miss out. – Moni Pineda
Books We Love :: Street Art New York
The founders of BrooklynStreetArt.com, Jaime Rojo and Steven P. Harrington, have just published Street Art New York, a look at 102 artists from around the world who have left their art-mark on the Big Apple. The list of artists includes some of whom we’ve featured on Friends We Love – Invader, Poster Boy & Ellis G. There will also be a silent auction on April 24 to benefit “Free Arts NYC” and a party for the release of the book. Unfortunately we won’t be able to make it, so please enjoy the art and good times for us!
Art We Love :: Aakash Nihalani – Boxing in India
Aakash Nihalani, a most definite artist + friend we love recently to a trip back to his Motherland of India. Thankfully while their he taped the town red, so to speak, by adding his unique fluorescent geometric flair to the urban landscapes of New Delhi and Mumbai. Happy to see his art and ideas expanding further and further each time we check in. Great job Aakash!
