Our friend, Yuri Shimojo, introduced us to her master printer Karen Florito recently who is currently working on a great exhibit and artist panel called Evolution / Revolution: The Interconnectedness of All Beings. Although all of this happens in February, we are happy to begin supporting this collaborative art exhibit and forum in hopes of sparking dialogue on nature and our environment through arts, activism and education. We are also hoping our friends will contribute to their Kickstarter campaign and help manifest their vision & overall project. – Moni Pineda

The work of two of the world’s greatest abstract artists, Vasily Kandinsky and Kazimir Malevich, will be brought together for an exhibition at the Guggenheim which opens up this Saturday (7/9). Kandinsky and Malevich both utilized geometric forms to create some of the most intriguing art of the early 20th century.

The best part of embarking on a web series about art is meeting new artists. About a year ago I came across an article in New York Magazine about a young crazy razor blade swinging street artist. His name was Poster Boy. Luckily for me the article included his Flickr page and away I went clicking. After seeing a pretty impressive body of work all created out of subway adverts, I decided to reach out.

While surfing the web in between renders today I was super stoked to find some great new pictures of our homeboy Aakash Nihalani’s new show at the Carmichael Gallery in Los Angeles. Nihalani is taking his cube game to another level! It’s been really inspiring to see his work evolving in both form and medium, over the past year as he’s introduced his geometric creations to mirrors and metal.
