Battles We Love :: 1 on 1 BBoy Battle – France 2010 by Yak Films

I knew b-boy battles have grown in leaps + bounds in terms of technique and flow over the years, but damn this shit is straight up BONKERS! Almost makes me wanna pull out my suede Pumas, pinstripe Lee’s topped off with a fluffy raccoon hat and sprain my ankle or something.
Events We Love :: Summer Streets

Did you miss the last two weeks of Summer Streets? This upcoming Saturday is your last chance to play, run, walk & bike with thousands of other beautiful New Yorkers from downtown to Central Park. My friend Baly Cooley invited me to bike with her a couple of weeks ago and it turned out to be one of my favorite summer days so far. Not only did we get to see our lovely city through a new perspective, but there were also plenty of activities to entertain, educate & inspire all types. The Whole Foods picnic area was perfect for a snack & next to it I even got a biking helmet FOR FREE! There were dance classes, exercise sessions, dumpster pools for a quick cooling dip and free bike valets to look after your wheels while you enjoy it all. Inspired by Bogotá, Colombia’s Ciclovia and Paris, France’s Paris Plage, Summer Streets should not be missed! – Moni Pineda
Legends We Love :: Mark Gonzales – Circle Board in Paris

What’s one to do after pioneering street skateboarding for over 20 years? I know…You bolt 9 skateboards into perfect circle, buy a plane ticket to Paris, wait for the magic hour to strike and then you go and shoot one helluva beautiful video to show the rest of the world- Yeah this is what legends do. What’d you do today? Mark Gonzales We Love!!!
videos we love :: jr – action bruxelles

If you’re not already a HUGE fan of JR’s incredible artwork, I’m sure after watching this AMAZING collection of his videos, you’ll be inspired for days…
art We Love :: JR – Women Are Heroes

Here’s a taste of JR’s latest project entitled, Women Are Heroes. It’s been pretty amazing to see the scale of JR’s work growing. I’ve been told you could even see this recent example of his work from space.
My favorite part is the clapping and cheering from the people in the village as the train goes by. I’d love to create something that would evoke the same reaction. Crazy inspiring!
Art We Love :: Invader

Moni and I had the pleasure of meeting and shooting an amazing interview with the artist/inventor of Rubikcubism, INVADER. The shoot was for an upcoming “OFF THE WALL” episode. Stay tuned for more pictures and videos of INVADER’s art, interview and show.
topics we love :: naomi klein “all of them must go”
All Of Them Must Go By Naomi Klein – February 5th, 2009 Published in The Nation. Watching the crowds in Iceland banging pots and pans until their government fell reminded me of a chant popular in anti-capitalist circles back in 2002: “You are Enron. We are Argentina.” Its message was simple enough. You–politicians and CEOs [...]
