Events We Love :: Estria Invitational Graffiti Battle, LA
The 5th Annual Estria Invitational Graffiti Battle stops in LA this Saturday as part of its nationwide urban art competition with an all day block party celebrating the hip hop arts with some of LA’s top writers and DJs, including our own Moni, Phyz.ed and JustPudge. Friends We Love is proud to be a media partner of the event in support of Estria’s tireless commitment to social justice and community initiatives from national graff battles to their Water Writes murals promoting H2O awareness around the world.

Artists We Love :: Rammellzee
One of our favorite rooms at MOCA’s Art in the Streets exhibit was the replica of Rammellzee’s Tribeca loft. It encompasses many facets of his Gothic Futurist theory. In case you aren’t able to experience this first hand, check out this short MOCA recently released. RIP.

Exhibits We Love :: Invader, 1000
With sculptural stamps around the world, Invader celebrates his 1000th mosaic with an exhibit at La Générale in his hometown of Paris through July 2, 2011. See Invader in action as he erects this milestone piece in the video below. Visuals We Love :: Amon Tobin’s ISAM
Amon Tobin’s ISAM tour will hit Europe this summer with some stunning 3D projection mapping by VSquared Labs, Leviathan, Blasthaus and Vita Motus Design. I heard about VSquared’s Vello Virkhaus from my friend Nicole Ware and I’m happy to see this brilliant collaboration come together. Not only are we excited about Amon’s new record but we can’t wait to see this show live. Let’s hope it makes its way stateside soon. – Moni Vargas
