Artists We Love :: Stephan Doitschinoff aka Calma

Stephan Doitschinoff, aka Calma, recently created the artwork for the N.A.S.A music video Strange Enough, which is just incredible. Since we’ve never had the pleasure of featuring him on our site, we decided to give you a little background and share the beautiful documentary, Temporal, which captures Calma’s process while contextualizing his creations.

The Jonathan LeVine Gallery curated Calma’s first NY solo exhibit, Novo Mundo, in 2008 introducing us to his rich imagery and social commentary on institutionalized power. Please take some time to read more about the artist and see pieces from his exhibit at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. – Moni Pineda

Destino is full of Dali’s reoccurring themes of time, identity and transformation all expressed via signature imagery and characters. If you’re familiar with Dali’s work, it will be fascinating to see it come to life. – Moni Pineda
