Artists We Love :: Rammellzee

One of our favorite rooms at MOCA’s Art in the Streets exhibit was the replica of Rammellzee’s Tribeca loft. It encompasses many facets of his Gothic Futurist theory. In case you aren’t able to experience this first hand, check out this short MOCA recently released. RIP.
BTS We Love :: Jada Pinkett Smith, Uptown

Jada Pinkett Smith shines in this Uptown Magazine behind the scenes and we were lucky to film & edit this piece to the tune of “Visions of Violet” by Jose James. Moni was behind the lens and Mike handled the editing in a true spirit of collaboration. We hope you enjoy it! – Mike & Moni
Gary Baseman :: Off the Hook

During this studio visit in Los Angeles, Gary Baseman shares insights into the characters and themes of his upcoming solo show at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York City from March 5 – April 2, 2011.
Exhibits We Love :: Urban Alchemists, FWL @ Art Basel

The Jonathan LeVine Gallery steps out of Art Basel in a beautifully curated show, live murals by Invader & Jeff Soto as well as a viewing station featuring our Friends We Love series, Off the Hook. We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of these fantastic days or art & fun in Miami.
Exhibits We Love :: GAIA at Brooklynite Gallery

We had the pleasure of meeting the very talented, GAIA, at our screening at the BK Museum and our last night in NYC. Not only are we impressed by his definitive style and prolific nature but after meeting him, his personality completely won us over. He’s definitely an artist we’d like to feature in the near future. He achieves beautiful detail in his animal & human portraits through more traditional techniques giving his ‘street’ art and the viewer a distinct experience. All of this to say that if you’re in NYC between now & November 6th, don’t miss his show at Brooklynite Gallery. He’s showing alongside the Italian stencil duo, Sten & Lex, so the show will be great all around. Give us an update if you make it. – Moni Pineda
Music Videos We Love :: Willow Smith, Whip My Hair

We are so excited this video is finally out! Our FWL team filmed the behind the scenes of Ray Kay’s amazing visual ride for Willow’s bonafide hit, Whip My Hair. We absolutely love the song and felt blessed to witness such an inspiring creative process unfold before us. Needless to say, Willow is a star and thanks to her, we’ll all be whipping our hair! If you haven’t seen the Sesame Street mash-up, don’t miss it. It’s pretty brilliant!
