The 5th Annual Estria Invitational Graffiti Battle stops in LA this Saturday as part of its nationwide urban art competition with an all day block party celebrating the hip hop arts with some of LA’s top writers and DJs, including our own Moni, Phyz.ed and JustPudge. Friends We Love is proud to be a media partner of the event in support of Estria’s tireless commitment to social justice and community initiatives from national graff battles to their Water Writes murals promoting H2O awareness around the world.

I’m ecstatic to be playing the launch of this saucy, funk-filled rumba along with guests Nu-Mark, B+ and residents Melaaza, Panamami & Cee Brown. It all goes down on Sunday at an easy 5PM-Midnight, so there should be no excuses!

Join us this Sunday, April 10, as we launch Here For You, a four week benefit music series for our friends in Japan organized by Sean Osborne. This week Mark joins the ladies, Valida, Mona Lisa and Moni at East3rd in Little Tokyo. Every session has great line ups and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to AMDA International. Murals We Love :: Water Writes, LA Unveiling
Water Writes will be unveiling their first of 10 murals in LA this Saturday & Friends We Love is proud to be a media partner for the event. This 250 ft mural is being painted across the wall surrounding KIPP Prep in dedication to the conservation and protection of H20! Join us as we celebrate the beautiful work by the featured artists along with KIPP’s 8th grade class and their teachers with music by Spinorita and Moni.
Shows We Love :: MdCL’s Church w Moni
The third installment of Mark de Clive Lowe’s monthly clubnite in LA, ‘CHURCH’. First Sunday of the month at Angel’s Piano Bar, Santa Monica, which means we’ll be getting down this December 5th. This will be a great night for us at FWL as Moni will be spinning tunes in between some of the best live music you’ll see anywhere.
Events We Love :: Sound + Style Benefit
Next Tuesday, the fourth annual Sound + Style Benefit for Making Books Sing will kick off at Greenhouse with an impressive list of DJs and designers donating their time and talent for a great cause. I’ve spun in the past years and this event is always a good time. A portion of the proceeds will support Making Books Sing which provides school books & supplies to NYC students.
