Although the Pixelator public art project has been around for a few years, I think it’s relevant and inspiring enough to share. Jason Eppink, or anyone else who would like to create one, transforms those annoyingly bright LED screens of commercials by subway entrances into beautifully colorful “pixelated” installations. He even has instructions on how to create your own! I love this type of art.

Poster Boy NYC has been described as a kind of anti-consumerist Zorro with a razor blade. Preferring to remain anonymous Poster Boy NYC is said to be a group or movement who use razor blades to cut out and re-arrange elements of billboard images on the New York Subway to make both political and satirical statements about contemporary issues.
