Artists We Love :: Natalia Fabia

Natalia Fabia’s current solo show at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery entitled “Punk Rock Rainbow Sparkle” ushers a new wave of feminism with an emphasis on sugar and spice — that isn’t always nice.

Stopmotion We Love :: The Sandpit by Sam O'Hare

There are many reasons why we LOVE The Sandpit by Sam O’Hare. First of all, it captures our neighborhood and New York City beautifully. Secondly, he takes stop motion & the miniature “tilt-shift” look to a whole new level. Finally, the soundtrack by Human is quite perfect AND we also get to read more about his process here.

Photographers We Love :: Matilde Campodónico

By contributing artist Jennifer Cendaña Armas

Matilde Campodónico: my favorite photographer and a friend I love. Her use of space is wondrous to me, the shapes of her subjects are so crisp, and a sense of curiosity always seems to peek out. I can´t help but think, ¨She is meant to be doing this.¨

I first discovered her photos of musicians. A touch of Google and I found work ranging from past exhibitions to current events photos in The Associated Press. After more Googling and some praying, I had my own session with Mati in Uruguay, where she resides. She is just as fabulous in person as I hoped (and also one great tour guide of Montevideo).
