The Socrates Sculpture Park, in collaboration with The Museum of the Moving Image and Rooftop Films, presents Outdoor Cinema at the Socrates Sculpture Park. The month-long screening series runs through July 28th and features international films, live music, and all kinds of food, celebrating the diversity of Queens.

There are certain films that by the grace of God see the light of day, 2 Turntables and a Microphone is one of those films. Back on October 30, 2002 Jason Mizell aka Jam Master Jay of RUN DMC one of hip-hop’s biggest contributors to it’s progression into mainstream America, was gunned down and murdered in a recording studio. To this day, no-one has been brought to justice for the crime. This film sets out to examine the who’s, what’s, where’s and why this crime is still unsolved homicide. Please go see it when it comes out, share it with your friends, blog about it. Hopefully by spreading the message, justice will finally prevail…
