Technology We Love :: The Skin Gun

A simple idea backed by stem cell research allows victims of severe burns to heal in merely days. Simply amazing!
Kickstarters We Love :: Mac Smullen’s Dinasty

Our friend and summer ’09 intern, Mac Smullen is raising funds for his senior film at SUNY Purchase. It has a simple title: Dynasty; as well as a long, drawn-out title: Yog-Sothoth’s Cautionary Tales for Young Adults. Please watch the video below (especially the second part) and read an in-depth description by Mac himself on his Kickstarter page. He’s at 93% so if you’re inspired, make sure you donate some $$ and help make a dream & a senior film come true. – Moni Pineda
Shorts We Love :: Moments

WNYC’s RadioLab presents Moments, a short “visual experiment” by Will Hoffman that celebrates life through those very simple, everyday experiences which we all share. Take a look and enjoy! -Moni Pineda
Laughs We Love :: UPROXX’s Top 20 5 Sec. Films

I never realized how much “story” you can fit into 5 seconds. That was until I came across the Top 20 5 Second films presented by UPROXX- Everything from Bank robberies to births to break-ups get the 5 second treatment. Simple and funny taking the idea of a “short film” to a whole other level…
Design we Love :: Turntable Clocks

I’ve always been a big fan of simple design that can transform an object by reformatting its original function.
sites we love :: the mixtape club

We all love mixtapes, so when our friend Jeff Staple posted a link to one he had mixed, we quickly made our way to the music. A click later we found ourselves at “The Mixtape Club.” The concept was simple- Ten people, ten tracks, ten album covers each dedicated to the art of the mixtape. There’s nothing we love more than exploring new sounds and new bands with the occasional random joint you just needed to hear again. Give it a try, we’re sure you’ll love what you hear…
sites we love :: incredibox

I came across this site the other day and haven’t stopped going back since. The concept is super simple. Just log on to Incredibox and click and drag instruments, effects, chorus and percussion onto the little “helpers” and let your inner remixer free. If nothing else, at least when your done with this time killer you’ll have something fun to show for it…
