Stop motion films have been around since the dawn of motion pictures. Over the years many visionary directors have pushed the boundaries of this medium to create realities that other wise may never have existed. There will always be something very “hand-made” about them, something in the craftsmanship that exudes hours and hours of preparation and patience. Ten Thousand Pictures of You by Robin King is no exemption, which by the way took over a year and 2600 photographs to create. It’s an amazing testament to the marvel of filmmaking and creativity.

The thing I LOVE most about the internet has got to be the sharing. One person creates, then another posts that creation and lastly another person takes that post and shares it. In some cases, some do all three. Case in point, BLU- who is an AMAZING artist from Bologna and is known for his very large, often surreal and aggressive but always strong pictures in the public space. His very playful and comic-style pieces often carry an ethnic, political or moral statement, yet without being patronizing.
