Music We Love :: Sampled Room

What’s not to love about a musical madman who swaps musical instruments for wine glasses, wire coils, a pair of panties, and some duct tape? It’s all about the creative process and the end result, which in this case is pretty damn incredible. Good luck getting that melody out of your head- Ha!
Exhibits We Love :: Aakash Nihalani @ Bose Pacia

Our talented friend Aakash Nihalani is exhibiting new works at Brooklyn’s Bose Pacia gallery with an opening reception on Thursday, November 4, 2010. This show will include many facets of his conceptual geometric expression – sculpture, photography, tape installation, painting and interactive digital imagery. Although he was initially known for his public works around NYC, in the last couple of years Aakash has transformed and transgressed the limits of “street art” into a solid exploration of his themes within a gallery setting while retaining the vibrant energy and playfulness of his earlier works. – Moni Pineda
Parodies We Love :: We Got That B-Roll!

The only thing we didn’t like about this video, is that we didn’t do it first. Other than that it’s pretty classic. Need a shot of someone reading this blog post…BAM! THEY GOT THAT B-ROLL!!!
Stop Motions We Love – Skateboardanimation

What do you get when you mix all the fun of skatebaording with a stack of pictures, a pair of scissors and some scotch tape? If your Tilles Singer, you wind up with Skateboardanimation.
Exhibitions We Love :: Aakash Nihalani – Carmichael Gallery (L.A.)

While surfing the web in between renders today I was super stoked to find some great new pictures of our homeboy Aakash Nihalani’s new show at the Carmichael Gallery in Los Angeles. Nihalani is taking his cube game to another level! It’s been really inspiring to see his work evolving in both form and medium, over the past year as he’s introduced his geometric creations to mirrors and metal.
sites we love :: the mixtape club

We all love mixtapes, so when our friend Jeff Staple posted a link to one he had mixed, we quickly made our way to the music. A click later we found ourselves at “The Mixtape Club.” The concept was simple- Ten people, ten tracks, ten album covers each dedicated to the art of the mixtape. There’s nothing we love more than exploring new sounds and new bands with the occasional random joint you just needed to hear again. Give it a try, we’re sure you’ll love what you hear…
