Screenings We Love :: Derailments @ TIFF

I love seeing friends do it big especially when it comes to premiering their short doc, Derailments, at TIFF – the Toronto International Film Festival. It recounts the first hand story of Milo Manara, the illustrator who transformed Federico Fellini’s unmade film, Il Viaggio di Mastorna (Mastorna’s Journey), into a graphic novel shortly before Fellini’s death.

If Carolyn gets enough votes, she could have her very own TV show that covers the subject of multicultural communities, as well as the racial issues that face our country every day.

Watch the trailer & catch your face distort from confusion. Looking forward to seeing how the film unfolds. THE ART OF THE STEAL chronicles the long and dramatic struggle for control of the Barnes Foundation, a private collection of art valued at more than $25 billion.

films we love :: jam master jay - 2 turntables and a microphone - trailer

There are certain films that by the grace of God see the light of day, 2 Turntables and a Microphone is one of those films. Back on October 30, 2002 Jason Mizell aka Jam Master Jay of RUN DMC one of hip-hop’s biggest contributors to it’s progression into mainstream America, was gunned down and murdered in a recording studio. To this day, no-one has been brought to justice for the crime. This film sets out to examine the who’s, what’s, where’s and why this crime is still unsolved homicide. Please go see it when it comes out, share it with your friends, blog about it. Hopefully by spreading the message, justice will finally prevail…
