My favorite part of growing up as a skateboarder was the ability to transform our environment into a world of limitless potential for our enjoyment. From noticing a freshly painted curb to revamping a pile of scrap wood into a portable skatepark, the world was truly ours. This incredible spot by Ubisoft/Shaun White takes the idea of visualization to a whole other level. Incredible balance between technical abilities on a board and behind a computer. Videos We Love :: Mayer Hawthorne
This playful video for Mayer Hawthorne’s “Your Easy Lovin’ Ain’t Pleasin’ Nothin’” from last September’s A Strange Arrangement features a gaggle of lovely ladies doing an impressively arranged dance number, frolicking around a Laurel Canyon-esque backyard while Hawthorne does a slightly less-impressive series of dances on the outskirts, serenading. Make sure to take notice of the cool camera work (the whole video is a single shot). The perfect remedy for the blues and blahs of a hot day. -Mac Smullen
