Videos We Love :: Timelapse Painting, Pat Perry

We’re into timelapse, great artists & seeing the creative process. Here’s a couple of videos of artist Pat Perry getting it in. If you like what you see, make sure you take a look at the rest of his work on his site. I’m also digging the photos he posts on his blog. He would definitely be a fun artist to feature on FWL.

Since our Barnstormers post has gotten so much love, I decided to search for new videos and sure enough I found one I’d never seen before! This one takes place during an artists’ residency at The Contemporary Museum in Honolulu and features David Ellis, Mike Houston, Che Jen, Sasu, Kiku & Kami. The title Scrounge makes me think that they’re creating this artwork with found materials, but I could be wrong. I’ll inquire & get back to you. In the meantime, enjoy!

videos we love :: mike vallely's farewell to the bk banks 2010

Here’s a short + heartfelt video by pro skateboarder Mike Valley saying goodbye to one of his favorite skate spots, The Brooklyn Banks. For many who may not know, beneath the Brooklyn Bridge (on the Manhattan side) lies on of the most coveted skate spots the world has ever known. For many skaters, it’s a destination “you must” skate before you die.
