Exhibits We Love :: Kehinde Wiley, The World Stage: Israel

Kehinde Wiley’s The World Stage: Israel is exhibited at the Roberts & Tilton Gallery until May 28, 2011 in Los Angeles. Among the subjects of Mr. Wiley’s paintings are Ethiopian Jews whose families immigrated to Israel and gained citizenship between the years of 1984 and 1991. Please watch Dwayne Rodgers’ short film below to learn more about these beautiful people and project. “My reason for being here is to make beautiful paintings; to make artwork that talks about a place and about a people and about a history.” Kehinde Wiley
We are so happy to be here to see this exhibit first hand. Read our past review of this series from Brazil in 2009. – Moni Vargas
