About Zap Mama:
Marie Daulne created the concept "Zap Mama" at the beginning of the 90’s with an acappella group of Afro-European women: African and European culture mix generation. In 1996 Marie emerged as Zap Mama the solo artist; and has since integrated American hip hop, Afrobeat, pop, indie, jazz, funk into a musical blend. In 1996, Marie added a fundamental core of humanitarianism to this distinct vocal style, which continues to drive the music and Marie today. Zap Mama’s first album came out in 1991, and they have since released six albums worldwide.
